What type of desktop computers do you repair?

We repair a wide range of desktop PC form factors, including Full, Mid, Mini, SFF (Small Form Factor), and USFF (Ultra-Small Form Factor) towers, and AIO (All in One) computers. We do not repair Apple desktop computers.

What brands of computer do you repair?

We repair all personal computer brands, including HP, Dell, Lenovo, Asus, Microsoft, Acer, MSI, Corsair, Samsung, Alienware, ZooStorm, and MSI. Additionally, we repair gaming and custom-build computers from brands such as NZXT, Chillblast, AWD-IT, Overclockers, PC Specialist, and Novatech.

Can you repair computers on-site?

Yes, we can perform software-related repairs, such as troubleshooting email, on-site; however, for the most part, computer repairs are conducted at our workshop in Bury St Edmunds.

Can you repair computers remotely?

Yes, we can repair a wide variety of software-related problems via remote access; for more information, see IT support. We perform longer procedures and hands-on work, such as replacing parts, at our workshop.

Do you have an office or workshop?

Yes, we have an office and workshop in Bury St Edmunds. It is from here that we provide remote IT and hands-on services, including IT support, data recovery, computer setup, computer upgrades, and computer repair.

Do you provide free estimates?

Yes, we are always happy to provide an estimate. All estimates are free and with no obligation.

How long does it take to repair a desktop PC?

The time required to repair a desktop PC can vary considerably depending on the nature of the repair. For example, replacing a faulty ATX power supply will typically take under an hour to complete, whereas replacing and configuring a system drive can take much longer.

How much does it cost to repair a desktop PC?

Desktop PC repairs are charged at £30 per half hour, excluding long procedures; for more information, see Long procedures. Our computer repair charges are capped at a maximum of three hours per repair. Replacement parts are charged separately.

What parts do you replace?

We replace a wide range of desktop PC parts, including storage drives, power supplies, motherboards, memory modules, CPUs, graphics cards, network cards, USB cards, sound cards, and optical drives.

Do you use brand name parts?

Yes, we supply and fit OEM and retail-branded parts from manufacturers including WD, Seagate, Toshiba, Kingston, PNY, Patriot, Integral, Corsair, Crucial, SK Hynix, Micron, MSI, Asus, Gigabyte, Asrock, Peagron, Foxconn, AMD, Intel, LG Philips, Samsung, Optronix, Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Acer.

How much do computer parts cost?

Computer parts vary in price depending on their type, specification, and availability; that said, replacement parts for home/office desktops tend to range from £25 to £150. For example, a replacement ATX power supply for a mid-range PC will typically cost around £40.

Do you offer a guarantee on parts?

Yes, we offer a twelve-month guarantee on all new parts that we have supplied and fitted. Used, often referred to as refurbished, parts are typically guaranteed for three or six months. In either situation, if any problems arise with a part that we have supplied within the guarantee period, we will offer a resolution at no additional cost. Please note that physical damages, such as broken hinges, are not covered.
